Biography

I went on to complete an MA and Ph.D. in Psychology at the University of Cape Town. My research focuses on social communication and behavior in neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism. In particular, I am interested in the physiological and genetic processes that shape social communication skills. I am currently doing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Cape Town and Red Cross Children’s hospital, where I am working on a multinational study on the genetics of neurodevelopmental disorders in African populations.
