Mr. Finley has over 30 years of environmental expertise, which carries with it the responsibilities of a Manager and Senior Hydrogeologist/Geologist. He has managed and directed, numerous environmental site assessments (all Phases) for a variety of contaminants. As a Manager, he has specialized in site investigations, the implementation of contaminant remediation/management systems, compliance monitoring, data evaluation, and analysis of impacts for human health and the environment. As Senior Hydrogeologist, he leads project teams in contaminant migration recovery, aquifer studies, numerical modeling evaluations, well design and installation, pump tests and analyses, and other related groundwater investigations. Mr. Finley is responsible for the peer review of all documents along with overall project management, technical training, preparation of proposals and cost estimates, maintaining budgets and meeting deadlines; all of which are necessary to ensure superior client service and continued company achievements.

Research Interest

With over 30 years in the environmental industry I have been exposed to a variety of experiences in an ever changing and growing field. While I have a particular interest in groundwater and contaminant flow I have recently become involved in the use of biotechnology to degrade and remediate hazardous materials. Specific Research Areas of Interest include: • potable water sourcing; • water quality monitoring and modeling ; • watershed (hydrological & hydrodynamic) modeling & management; • fate and transport of contaminants in the environment; • phyto/bio-remediation design and implementation; and • contaminated site characterization.
