Biography
Sari Fröjd is PhD, university lecturer and docent in the School of Health Sciences at University of Tampere. She has studied adolescent mental health problems and teaches diverse issues related to social psychiatry. Her PhD work focused on the effects of family determinants on adolescent mental health. In the years after she has worked as a senior researcher for the Pirkanmaa Hospital District, and for the National Instutute for Health and Welfare. She is one of the principal investigators of the Adolescent Mental Health Cohort Study. Currently she belongs to the group performing an external evaluation of the Finnish National Programme for Promoting Mental Health.
