Dr. Susan Malcolm-Smith is working in the Applied Cognitive Science and Experimental Neuropsychology Team, Department of Psychology at University of Cape Town, South Africa. Her research focuses on investigating the ways in which emotion impacts upon and guides adaptive social function. I approach this question from affective neuroscience and neuropsychological frameworks, examining these associations in both healthy individuals, and in clinical populations where difficulties in these domains are marked.
