Viqar Syed
Biography
Dr. Syed received her PhD in Reproductive Endocrinology from the Karolinska Institute, Stockholm, Sweden and did postdoctoral training at the Max Planck Clinical Research Unit for Reproductive Medicine in Münster, Germany and at the University of Rennes, France. Syed’s research focuses on the molecular mechanisms that control cell growth and proliferation, and in understanding how these mechanisms are disrupted in ovarian and endometrial cancer cells. The goal is to identify molecules or signaling pathways that play an essential role in the acquisition of a metastatic phenotype and to understand their mechanisms of actionResearch Interest
