Biography

 Professor Will Zimmerman, CEng FIChemE, Chair of Biochemical Dynamical Systems, Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, The University of Sheffield.  Will is a graduate of Princeton and Stanford Universities.  Recent awards include The Institution of Chemical Engineers Moulton Medal (2009), AXA Insurance Cleantech Open UK winner and Royal Society Innovation Award (2010) for his innovative work on micro-bubble techonology with its diverse applications including food security, waste management and ozone treatment.  His recent work on accelerating and intensifying algal biomass growth and harversting with microbubbles was reported by Scientific American in a podcast that went "viral" on the internet, with over 100 pages of google for microbubbles + biofuels.  In addition to his academic pursuits, Will is a founder of Perlemax, a spinout company of the University of Sheffield.
