Dr. Wang got his B.S. and M.S. degree from China Agricultural University by majoring Plant Genetics and Breeding in 1981 and 1984, respectively, and received his Ph.D. from Cambridge Laboratory, John Innes Center in the Department of Crop Genetics in 1993. After finishing his postdoctoral training in the Department of Genetics, Harvard Medical School, he worked for Monsanto in Strategic Genetics Division for four years. Since 2013, Dr. Wang is employed as a Plant Molecular Geneticist by the PGRCU, USDA-ARS and is also affiliated with the Institute of Plant Breeding, Genetics and Genomics, University of Georgia. His research interests are on crop germplasm, genetics, and breeding
