Biography
Dr. Nithin Sunku is a well known Consultant Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement surgeon. He hails from Bengaluru, India. He did his graduation in Medicine from Mysore in 2001 and Later he did his post graduation in orthopaedics from prestigious institution Mysore Medical College and research institute (MMCRI). After that he worked in various positions in different government and corporate hospitals as In- charge of Emergency medicine department, Vice chairman of Waste management committee of Sagar Apollo Hospital in Bengaluru. Later he had short stint in Columbia Asia and Manipal Hospitals in Bengaluru. He also worked as consultant surgeon to the Military and paramilitary training academy. Then he was in AKG Hospitals, Kannur, Kerala after that went for fellowship at Sunshine Hospitals, Hyderabad. He did his fellowship in Joint replacement from UK & Ireland. He was given prestigious award by Indian Orthopaedic Association for his excellent work and his surgeries in bone tumour. He is presently a Consultant Orthopaedic & Joint Replacement Surgeon in Global Hospital Trauma Centre (A unit of Global Hospital & Research Centre) at Abu Road, Rajasthan, India since last 5 years. Now he is mainly serving poor, downtrodden and tribal patients in this charitable hospital.
He has performed more than 1200 knee and hip replacement surgeries. His Special interest is in treating bone tumors. He is a Life Member in Indian Orthopaedic Association (IOA), and Member of SICOT (BELGIUM). He has many publications and is a board member of International journals published from USA, UK, France, Spain and India.
Apart from his surgical career he is having a great inclination towards spirituality. Also from his childhood he always had a quest for excellence and experimenting spirituality in daily life. So he has been practicing Rajyoga Meditation for past 3 decades. He has been helping patients to give a holistic touch and getting cured from illness in bone diseases such as arthritis, spondylitis by meditation. He has been giving lectures about meditation and its effects on health in various forums and organisation. He is also presently one of the prominent people in promoting “Yoga” to improve health.

His research interest includes Trauma, Arthroplasty – Hip & Knee, Arthroscopy and Orthopaedic oncology
