China was a world leader in science and technology until the Ming Dynasty. Initial Chinese inventions are papermaking, printing, the compass, and gunpowder later it became spread in Asia and Europe. Also there is a great growth in the field of Food Science. There is a frequent publication in Food Science Journal lists. China is rapidly developing its education system with an emphasis on science, mathematics and engineering.
