Abstract

Methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-α-D-glucopyranoside was specifically changed over to methyl 4,6-O-benzylidene-2-O-(2,6- dichlorobenzoyl)- α-D-glucopyranoside by response with 2,6-dichlorobenzoyl chloride utilizing direct strategy in great yield.
