Biography

Graduated from Federal University of Sergipe-UFS, Master Degree and Doctor Degree (Ph.D.) in Health Sciences (Nephrology) in the Federal University of São Paulo-UNIFESP. Post Doctoral researcher in Unit of Cardiac Rehabilitation and Exercise Physiology at the Heart Institute (InCor)-University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), Brazil. Has professional experience in the field of exercise physiology, with an emphasis on activity related health physics, mainly in the following themes: education, health promotion and disease prevention, exercise and quality of life in healthy populations with risk factors for cardiovascular diseases. Conducts research in exercise physiology, physiology, medicinal plants, kidney disease, immunology, hypertension, obesity, metabolic syndrome, aging. Membership of the Brazilian Society of Physiology (SBFis).

Research Interest

Physical assessment, physiology, medicinal plants, sepse, kidney disease, immunology, cancer, blood pressure, obesity, metabolic syndrome, aging, exercise training, animal models (Rats and Mice), tryptophan metabolism.
