Biography

Dr. Mark Wu was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular and Cell Biology: Neurobiology from UC Berkeley in 2007. Dr. Wu received his Doctor of Optometry degree from UC Berkeley School of Optometry in 2012. He completed his residency training in VA New Jersey Healthcare System in primary care optometry and ocular disease, however, he also received training in low vision and neuro-optometry during his residency. Dr. Wu currently practices full-time as the chief of the Binocular Vision clinic at UC Berkeley School of Optometry. Dr. Wu thoroughly enjoys being able to guide 3rd and 4th year optometric interns through advanced neuro-optometric cases. Dr. Wu has special interests in working with acquired brain injury patients and also the pediatric population with strabismus and amblyopia. Dr. Wu is especially interested in investigating the effectiveness of orthoptic and visual perceptual therapy for patients with acquired brain injuries.
