Biography

Dr.Paulo Eduardo Ocke Reis was graduated in (1988) at Federal Fluminense University (UFF-RJ-Brazil), Fellow in General Surgery at UFF (1990) and in Vascular Surgery at the Central Hospital of the Military Police-RJ, Brazil (1996). Specialist in Vascular Surgery by SBACV/AMB (2001) and expert in Angioradiology and Endovascular Surgery, SBACV/AMB/SBR(2003). Associate Professor of Vascular Surgery at UFF and professor of the Graduate Program in Cardiovascular Sciences (2011). Coordinator of the Vascular Surgery Service HUAP /UFF since (2001). Fellow-Vascular Researcher- Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York (2004/2005), stage in (2001) at the University Hospital at Yale University - USA. PhD in Morphological Sciences at UFRJ in (2009) Program in Morphological Sciences with PhD thesis entitled "Impact of angiogenic therapy for lower limb ischemia in animal model" Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon with experience in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, with emphasis on minimally invasive technics. Aortopathies (aortic diseases), aneurysms, aortic syndromes, diseases in the carotid (atherosclerotic, dissection and trauma), peripheral aneurysms and others aneurisms(popliteal, iliac, femoral, renal, digestive arteries). Renal stenosis and mesenteric ischemia. Performs Interventional procedures: arteriography, embolization, balloon angioplasties, stents and conventional vascular surgery. Deals with obstructive atherosclerotic arterial disease of the lower and upper limbs (patients with intermittent claudication or critical limb ischemia), arterial thromboembolism, venous disease, DVT, pulmonary embolism, vena cava thrombosis, femoropopliteal thrombosis. Varicose Veins.
