Senior Lecturer in Project Management at Liverpool John Moores University. Edward has a PhD from Loughborough University. Edward’s research is focused on project management. He has presented at national and international conferences, such as Association of Researchers in Construction Management (ARCOM), Australian Universities Building Educators Association (AUBEA), CIB World Congress, American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE) and International World of Construction Project Management where he shared his knowledge on ‘project complexity, performance, capital effectiveness, operational effectiveness and team integration’. Edward has published 2 book, 7 book chapters and over 60 refereed papers in refereed journals and conferences. Edward has successfully supervised 8 PhD students to completion.

Research Interest

He has extensive research experience relating to people and organisational challenges and solution development for managing large capital and heavy engineering projects. His broad interests and expertise include: operational effectiveness, capital effectiveness, energy and economy, team integration, value creation, project complexity, performance, multicultural project teams, sustainability in projects, project governance, modelling technology, stakeholder management, complex risk management, programme management, portfolio management, return on investment in projects, ethics and corporate social responsibility in projects.
