Dr. Juxian Song obtained his PhD degree at the University of Hong Kong in 2011. From 2012 to Feb. 2015, Dr. Song Juxian worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in School of Chinese Medicine, Hong Kong Baptist University. Dr. Song Juxian was appointed as a Research Assistant Professor by School of Chinese Medicine/Mr. and Mrs. Ko Chi Ming Centre for Parkinson's Disease Research in Hong Kong Baptist University from March 2015. Dr. Song’s major research direction is the regulation of autophagy and lysosomal biogenesis by small molecules derived from Chinese medicines and their neuroprotective mechanisms; and related works have been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Autophagy and Neurochemistry International.
