Biography

Hiroshi Miyamoto, M.D., Ph.D., completed his medical school and urology residency training followed by clinical urology practice and translational research in genitourinary cancers in Japan. In 1996, he moved to the United States to conduct postdoctoral research at University of Wisconsin - Madison and University of Rochester. He then completed anatomic pathology residency training at University of Rochester Medical Center and clinical fellowship in urologic pathology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He returned to University of Rochester to join the faculty as a surgical pathologist and was transferred to Johns Hopkins University, Division of Urologic Pathology and Brady Urological Institute in 2013.
