I served as instructor and research fellow with the Department of Surgery at University of Arizona. In 2007 I became clinical instructor and Fellow with the Division of Urology at University of Cincinnati. I was recruited by West Virginia University as an assistant professor of surgery and the Directory of Robotic Surgery Program. After serving as section chief at Detroit John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, I was recruited again as an associate professor of surgery/urology, and the Director of Robotic Surgery at West Virginia University.
My practice is focused on urological oncology and utilizing robotic technology to treat urologic cancers. My research was focused on clinical outcome, improving the detection of prostate cancer by creating hybrid US-PET endorectal probe. I am currently working on studying the role of NOS in renal ischemia reperfusion injury. I studied the effect of Leptin on prostate cancer cell lines.
