Description
Journal of Cancer Diagnosis is an open access peer-reviewed journal dealing with articles on different aspects of Physical exam, Laboratory tests, Imaging tests, Biopsy, Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Mammogram and breast ultrasound, Biopsy, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Tumour biomarkers, Lung Cancer Diagnosis, Imaging tests, Sputum cytology, Tissue biopsy, Ovarian Cancer Diagnosis, Imaging tests, Blood test, Surgery, Tumour markers, Tide Specific Antigen (TPS), Neuron Specific Enolase (NSE), Carcino Embryonic antigen (CEA), Liver Cancer Diagnosis, etc. The journal established in 2016 is currently running Volume 5, issue 4. The previous volume 5, issue 3 discussed about various aspects regarding the journal scope. The issue consisted of 5 different types of articles (Editorial, Opinion Article, Research Article, Mini Review and Perspective article) which are available freely in online with high quality peer reviewed articles. Authors from different region of world contributed their research work to our journal which helped to gain a potential impact and emerging new concepts to the readers.
Dr Ashraf Marzouk El Tantawi in his Research paper entitled “Roles of FOX and ROR-α Genes for Sestrin-Leu-1 Synthesis and for Regulating Cholesterol which is Estrogen and Androgen's Primary Substrate” explains that Sestrins are integrated as overlapped genes for adaptive responses against a variety of cellular inflammation and stresses procedures, including DNA damage, oxidative stress, hypoxia, and cells repairs metabolism. Sestrin is activated by forkhead (FOX) activator factor, where the Forkhead transcription factors are classified based on a conserved winged helix/forkhead DNA-binding domain consisting of three α-helices, three β-sheets, and two loops forming wings [1].
The research paper by Kaleab Tesfaye Tegegne, in his Research paper entitled “Knowledge and Utilization of Cervical Cancer Screening Service among Women in Ethiopia: A Systemic Review and Meta Analysis” in which author discribe the purpose of this metaanalysis was to assess the association between knowledge and utilization of cervical cancer screening services among women in Ethiopia. Previous tests of the association of knowledge and utilization of cervical cancer screening services have yielded inconsistent results. Using data from 12 studies, from different regions of Ethiopia we performed a meta-analysis with a specific focus on women's utilization of cervical cancer screening service [2].
Dr. Vyshali J Gogi in her Research Article entitiled “Influence of COVID-19 on HCC Patients and its Reverberations,” summarizes that the COVID-19 outbreak has affected worldwide in the grievous way. The victims of COVID-19 who are having previous ailments are more prone to severe condition and death. Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC) is one such liver cancer which needs timely treatment and care. HCC patients are more susceptible to severe Corona Virus infection and should be treated with priority. The current work is a review on the influence of COVID-19 on HCC patients [3].
Dr. Husam Bader discribed about the “Sarcoid-Like Reaction in Breast Cancers: A Single Center Experience” This case report summerizes the Sarcoidosis is a common, often multi systemic idiopathic chronic inflammatory disease diagnosed histologically by findings of epithelioid non caseating granulomas. While Fluorode oxyglucose FDG-avid lymph nodes on Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan in a patient with histologically confirmed malignancy should raise suspicion for nodal metastases, sarcoidosis is a known cause of benign Fluorode oxyglucose FDG-avidity in cancer patients and must be ruled out to avoid unjustified treatment and potential toxicities [4].
An editorial entitled “An overview of pathophysiology in breast cancer” was written By Dr. Mohammadreza Khanmohammadi about the Breast cancer, like other cancers, occurs because of an interaction between an environmental (external) factor and a genetically susceptible host. Normal cells divide as many times as needed and stop. They attach to other cells and stay in place in tissues [5].
I'm delighted to be a part of this journal's editorial panel. I strongly believe that this journal promotes outstanding research and innovations through knowledge dissemination. I encourage and invite the scholars and budding researchers to contribute their literature works to enhance this Journal which functions on principles of scientific excellence, publication ethics, and transparency. I am sure that together we will make Journal of Cancer Diagnosis a genuine and powerful publication.
