Abstract

This collection of articles reviews the expansive and evolving landscape of biosurveillance, highlighting its critical role in public health and security. It covers diverse methodologies, including digital biosurveillance, environmental monitoring for antimicrobial resistance, and wastewater-based epidemiology. The importance of a One Health approach, Artificial Intelligence, and genomic surveillance for detecting and responding to zoonotic and infectious diseases is emphasized. Furthermore, advancements in food safety and agricultural biosecurity through biosurveillance technologies are explored.
