Magdi El - Messiry

Biography

Prof. Magdy El Messiry graduated from the F aculty of Engineering , Alexandria Universit y , 1964, g o t his M.Sc in Textile Engineering 1967 and his PhD in Textile Machine Design from ( M TI ) 1971 , Vice Dean for Invironment and Community D evelopment Affairas of the Faculty of Engineering, and at present time Professor and Head of Textile Engineering Dep ar t ment , Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University . He was the Ex ecutive Director of Community Development Center at Alexandria Univ e rsity. Dr. El Messiry has been con s ultant to the Textile Industry Enterprise in Egypt, and e xpert in the industrial training pro gr a m s. S ince 2008 to the p resent time he is the Executive manger of the I ndustrial modernization unit , Alexandria University. During his carrier he work ed with a several U niversities in Egypt and abroad as a Visiting Professor. He published more than 100 scientific papers in the area of T extile E ngineering and M aterial S cience . F or hi s Outstanding Scientific Achievement s he was award ed the Honorary Scientific Prize of the Alexandria University in 1999 and in 2008 Honorary Award of Alexandria University Prize .
