Biography

Frimpong is Professor and Robert Quenon Endowed Chair of Mining and Nuclear Engineering and the Director of the Heavy Mining Machinery Laboratory at Missouri S&T. He holds PhD (1992) from University of Alberta, MS (1988) from University of Zambia, and Postgraduate Diploma (1986) and BS (1985) from Ghana University of Science and Technology. Frimpong has over 25 years of experience in research, education, consulting, and industry practice. He previously worked as Professor and Associate Professor (University of Alberta), Assistant Professor.He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Canada, and a member of the Society for Mining, Metallurgy and Exploration, Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Society for Modeling and Simulation International.

Biography

Professor Park is a Professor in the School of Materials Science and Engineering (since 1992) at Gyeongsang National University, Korea. He has been at the University since 1992 and was promoted to be a full professor in 2003. He served as a Deparment and School of Chairs from 3/1998-2/2000 and 01/2013-02/2015, respectively. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Washington State University (1991), two M.S. degrees in Materials Science & Engineering from University of Utah (1987), and in Polymer Engineering from Pusan National University, Korea (1984), and a B.S. degree in Materials Science & Engineering from Pusan National University (1979). He was a Post-doctorial fellow at Cornell University (2/1992-8/1992) until he became an Assistant Professor at GNU. He was a Visiting Professor (9/2004-11/2006) and currently Adjunct Professor since 12/2006 at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Utah. He served in the Korean Army at DMZ as 1st Lieutenant (Korean ROTC 17), as Platoon Leader and Acting Company Command, 6th Infantry Division, from 1979-1981.

Dr. M. Jayachandran (born on 4th February 1954, Sivagangai, Tamilnadu, India) is the Chief Scientist and Head Electrochemical Materials Science (ECMS) Division at the CSIR-Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi. He is also a Professor of the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR), CSIR, New Delhi and Research Professor in Research Department of Physics, Sri Sevugan Annamalai College, Devakottai. Received M.Sc., degree in physics from Annamalai University, Chidambaram and Ph.D in Industrial Chemistry from Alagappa University, Karaikudi. Dr.M.Jayachandran is the Co-ordinator of the 140 kW Solar Energy Power Plant Programme at CECRI. He has served in Beuro of Indian Standards (BIS), Government of India as the member of G-33 Committee for Stainless Steel and Cutlery Appliances. Currently, He is the Editor-In-Chief of the “Open Journal Of Metals”, Scientific Research Publishing Inc., CA, U.S.A., Associate Editor of “Nano technology and Nano science”, Bioinfo Publications, India and Editorial Board Member of “Journal of Powder Metallurgy & Mining”, OMICS Group Inc., NY, U.S.A., “Geo Materials” Hindwai Publishing Inc., Corp., NY, U.S.A. At present, he has been trusted with the Editor-in-Chief assignment for the ensuing Online Journal “Journal of Advanced Functional Materials” . His main research interests are: Materials Science, Study of Nano-Oxide semiconductors, Thin film preparation techniques, Materials characterization, Catalytic materials for pollution control, Nitride/oxide hard coatings for bio-medical application and solar energy devices/systems. He is co-author of 221 papers. He presented papers/attended and his students presented/attended about 332 International/National conferences.
