Arun T Patil

Biography

 Dr. Patil has been playing a pivotal role in the pharmacy education circle since long. He has been teaching undergraduate and post-graduate students for more than 36 years at University Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, with 8 students being awarded their Ph.D and 7 students more doing their Ph.D under him. Dr. Patil has completed his Masters in two branches viz. Pharmacognosy in year 1979 and Pharmaceutics in 1981. He has an array of additional qualifications like M.A (Public administration), L.L.B., Bachelor of Journalism and Diploma in Business Management. He also holds a Doctorate degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences. Dr. Patil has received many research grants from AICTE and UGC. He has more than 40 publications in International Journals and 10 papers in National Journals. He was the Associate Editor of Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education for 2 yrs.  Presently three of his Patents are in process of being granted. Dr. Patil’s student connect is evident by the fact that he has served as Hon. Director of Student Welfare for 22 years, had been elected on various posts of Nagpur University Student Council, organized National and International youth festivals,  and has also served as Warden of University boys hostel for 15 years. He has also served on many statutory bodies like Chairman and Secretary of Board of Cultural and Recreational activities, Chairman Board of studies, Member Association of Indian Universities, Member – Management Council, Academic Council, Board of Mural Studies, Board of Adult and Continuing Education, and many more in capacity of important positions for multiple terms. Dr. Patil is presently the President of Indian Pharmaceutical Association, Nagpur Branch. He is also a recognized PCI inspector and NBA and AICTE expert. Dr. Patil holds membership of various professional bodies like A.P.T.I, I.P.A., I.S.P., I.I.P.A, A.M.I., and many more. Dr. Patil was felicilated with life-time achievement award in Pharmacy by S.K.B. College of Pharmacy and also with Best Teacher Award 2013 by R.T.M. Nagpur University.
