Benjamin T Kopp

Pediatric Pulmonology Nationwide Children Hospital

Biography

Dr. Kopp earned his MD from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2006. He then completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Nationwide Children Hospital in 2009. He is currently completing fellowship training in Pediatric Pulmonology at the Nationwide Children Hospital and will be staying on as a faculty member in the Center for Microbial Pathogenesis at the Research Institute at Nationwide Children Hospital starting in July 2012. Dr. Kopp main research interests revolve around infection control in cystic fibrosis. His specific interests include examining the CFTR control of inflammatory pathways in alveolar macrophages regulating Burkholderia cenocepacia infections in cystic fibrosis patients as well as the pathophysiology of disease acquisition in cystic fibrosis infants. Other research interests include quality improvement work for pediatric hospitalizations.
