Chief Clinical Co-ordinator, Chair of Trial Management Group and member of Trial Steering Group Committee, for the Cancer Research UK funded NCRI IMPORT LOW & HIGH trials (Intensity Modulated Partial Organ Radiotherapy).She is also the Chief Investigator of the NCRN-adopted phase 3 randomised Cambridge Breast IMRT Trial. She is the Chief Investigator of the NCRN-adopted multicentre breast tumour bed localisation and image-guided radiotherapy “Gold Seed” feasibility trial.  

Biography

Dr Charlotte Coles is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. Dr Coles is Chief Clinical Co-ordinator, Chair of Trial Management Group and member of Trial Steering Group Committee, for the Cancer Research UK funded NCRI IMPORT LOW & HIGH trials (Intensity Modulated Partial Organ Radiotherapy). She is also a Chief Investigator of the NCRN-adopted phase 3 randomised Cambridge Breast IMRT Trial and of the NCRN-adopted multicentre breast tumour bed localisation and image-guided radiotherapy “Gold Seed” feasibility trial. Dr Coles is a member in different Trial management Groups: The multicentre translational trial: Radiogenomics – Assessment of Polymorphisms for Predicting the Effects of Radiotherapy (RAPPER);  The multicentre breast brachytherapy trial FORUM: Feasibility of Breast Radiotherapy Using Mammositeâ; Cancer Research UK funded NCRI FAST FORWARD trial. Dr Coles is a UK lead for the proposed Breast International Group trial omitting radiotherapy for patients at low risk of recurrence and also leads radiotherapy clinical trials research in Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. She holds membership in NCRI Clinical and Translational Radiotherapy Research Working Group and NCRI Breast Clinical Studies Group.

Her international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  Her research interests reflect in his/her wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
