Biography

 Dr. Dubravka Selenic is an epidemiologist (DVM and MPH) with over 22 years of extensive working experience of coordinating and implementing activities related to human and animal emerging and infectious diseases in Africa, Asia and Europe. She provides epidemiologic support for study design, implementation, and analyses of research projects, developed protocols and proposals for study methodology and data analyses. Additionally, writes the interpretation of data findings in the context of ongoing research objectives.She is an expert in conducting and organizing event-based surveillances, responses and controls in emergent situation. She has strong experience in implementation of One-health projects and interdisciplinary collaborations and communications in all aspects of health care for humans, animals and the environment. She is highly skilled to enhance country preparedness and response through coordination with all stakeholders at the national and international level. She has advance level in training and training materials preparation regarding the infection prevention (IPC), management and control precautions of communicable diseases including trainings in Personal Protective Equipment for animal, laboratory and health care staff. She has provided support in applied epidemiology to WHO Collaborating Centre (WHO CC) for Field Epidemiology Training and Research and International component (IFETP) including extensive experience in FETP/FETPV lecturing. She has excellent skills in assisting and coordinating with core government agencies in developing plans and activities for implementation and enhancement of International Health Regulations (2005) at all required levels. She has management, leadership, decision-making, and interpersonal skills, with successful experience on projects for WHO, FAO, CDC, USAID, EU, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and INGOs.
