Biography
Dr. Serena M Best completed her doctoral degree and currently she is working as a Professor in the Cambridge Centre for Medical Materials, Department of Materials Science & Metallurgy at University of Cambridge, Cambridge, UK.
Research Interest
My research aims to expand the range and performance of bioactive scaffolds in clinical applications. I have a number of areas of interest including: the optimisation of substituted hydroxyapatite bone grafts; surface modification of orthopaedic implants using bioceramics; the preparation of bioactive and bioresorbable composites for tissue engineering and the development and optimisation of collagen scaffolds.
