Dr. Smith is the Medical Director of the Transplant Infectious Disease service and the Infectious Disease Fellowship Director. She has been practicing infectious Disease since 2005 and specializing in transplant infectious disease since 2007. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Infectious Diseases. She specializes in infections in recipients of solid organ transplants and other immune compromised hosts and has special interest in fungal infections. Dr. Smith's research focuses on clinical aspects of transplant related infections and antifungal pharmacology and therapeutic drug monitoring.
