Dr. Krishnamurthy, a civil engineering graduate from National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, in 1955, completed his M.S. and Ph.D. from University of Colorado, Boulder, USA, in 1960 and 1963, with the help of India-USA government scholarship. There he received the Coloradan Pacesetter Award, International Goodwill Award and President’s Academic Excellence Citation among other citations. From 1955 until now.
