Biography

Sachidevi Puttaswamy is a research assistant professor in department of Bioengineering at the University of Missouri, USA. After finishing her undergraduate degree at VTU, India, and PhD at University of Missouri, she continued her work in the same department as post-doctoral scientist and now as a research professor. Her research interests include diagnosis of various pathogenic infections, antibiotic susceptibility studies, nanofluidic and microfluidic device development, nanoparticle aided pathogen separation and electrical impedance spectroscopy. More specifically her research work is focused on utilization of electrical impedance spectroscopy in frequency and time domains for rapid diagnosis of sepsis, tuberculosis and cancer, as well as exploring its application in determining the antibiotic susceptibility testing. Dr. Puttaswamy has over 10 years of experience in diagnosis of infectious diseases and has presented her work at multiple conferences with accolades, published and reviewed several research articles for scientific journals.
