Dr. Adams received his B.S. degree from the Pennsylvania State University in Biology and his M.D. degree from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. As a post-graduate resident in orthopaedic surgery at Duke University Medical Center, Dr. Adams received a Clinical Resident Research Fellowship from the NIH. After residency, he completed a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. He is now Assistant Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and the Director of Foot and Ankle Research at Duke University Medical Center.
His current research interests include clinical outcomes of foot and ankle surgery including total ankle replacement and flatfoot deformity.
