Biography

Dr. Alice Abdel Aleem is the Assistant Research Professor of Neurology in Weill Cornell Medicine, Qatar. She has the experience of working as Assistant Professor of Molecular Human Genetics in National Research Canter, Cairo, Egypt. Dr. Alice also works for hospitals and was honored as Physician of the year by Egyptian Medical Syndicate.

Research Interest

Dr. Alice Abdel Aleem has her particular expertise in the field of clinical and molecular human genetics with specific interest in neurogenetic disorders. Her current Extramural funded research is focusing on genes identification in monogenetic disorders encountered in Qatar as well as building databases for the clinical and genomic findings of families enrolled under different grants. Hereditary spastic paraplegias, heritable muscle dystrophies, brain congenital malformation and other interesting previously unrecognized phenotypes that follow Mendelian inheritance are of the current running studies.
