Biography

Working as an Assistant Professor of Botany at Govt. V.Y.T. Post Graduate Autonomous College, Durg (Chhattisgarh) India since 10th of January 2013. It is an A+ grade college of Chhattisgarh State reaccredited by NACC, Bangalore. Did my Master Degree in Botany with specialisation in Plant Pathology, securing first division from Government Science College, Raipur affiliated with Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (Chhattisgarh) India in 2002. Completed my PhD in Airborne Fungal diversity from the Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur in 2009. In July 2009, appointed as Scientific Officer in Biology Division at State Forensic Science Laboratory, Raipur under the Home (Police) Department, Govt. of Chhattisgarh. Awarded one Minor Research Project with Principal Investigator of 3 Lakhs from University Grant Commission, Central Regional Office, Bhopal on “Survey of medicinal plants of Dongragrah”. Awarded Young Scientist in 2006 by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology, Raipur and have published 07 research paper and 01 Chapter in a book. Currently guided 04 M.Sc. project works and attended 07 different training programs. Serving as the reviewer for European Journal of Medicinal plants and Journal of Complementary and Alternative Medical Research.

Ethnobotany especially in Traditional herbal medicine, Medicinal Plants and Mycology.
