Dr. Hemonta Kr Dutta, MS,M.Ch is presently working as Associate Professor & Head of Pediatric Surgery department at Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh, India. After obtaining his M.Ch. degree in Pediatric Surgery from AIIMS, New Delhi in 1998, he joined his alma matter Assam Medical College and has been working there since then. His major research interest being pediatric oncology, nutritional deficiencies & birth defects and pediatric neurological malformations. He has 56 publications in peer reviewed journals and has 4 technical innovations in the field of pediatric surgery. He is currently the editor of Journal of association of Surgeons of Assam and Editorial board member of Journal of Progress in Pediatric Urology. He is also involved in public awareness programs on prevention of birth defects and pediatric trauma.
