He graduated from Trakya University, Faculty of Agriculture, and Department of Soil Science in 1996 as head of the department. At the same year, he both started to MSc. in institute of natural and applied sciences in Trakya University and started to work as research assistant in Trakya University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science. He assumed title “MSc Engineer” in 1998 and “PhD” in 2004. He is still working as Associate Professor in Namik Kemal University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition. He attended many conferences, meetings, courses, seminary, panels, workshops, congress and festivals at home and abroad. He was assigned to lecture for one week each within the context of Erasmus teaching staff mobility at Trakia Democritus University in Greece in 2011 and at University of Technology and Life Sciences in Poland in 2013. He was assigned for 3 months between 11 July and 11 October at “the University of Vermont” in Vermont-USA to take a part in a project called “use of soil earthworms in agriculture”. He was invited in November-December 2012 by the same university and attended some scientific collaborative studies in order to carry out projects about “vermicompost and soil earthworms” in the University of Vermont. He invited to many international-national conferences as a key speaker about his expert areas. He served as project head and researcher in 22 projects supported by TUBITAK, Trakya University, Namik Kemal University, Nevsehir Haci Bektas Veli University, Bilecik Seyh Edebali University, TAGEM and Bozok University Scientific Research Projects Units. He has 115 articles on soil science, soil ecology, plant nutrition, soil fertility, soil chemistry, soil-water pollution, ecologic agriculture and fertilization topics as research articles and papers presented in domestic and abroad scientific meetings. Also, 9 of them are the articles published in international periodicals cited by international science indexes (SCI-SCI-Exp.). He won 12 months research scholarship at “The University of Vermont” in Vermont-USA for the second term of 2013 in the context of TUBITAK 2219 International Postdoctoral Research Scholarship Program. He studies the subjects about soil earthworms, vermicompost production from different organic wastes, set up and control of modern vermicompost production plants which are popular subjects all around the world recently.

Motonori Tomita is currently working as Professor in Research Institute of Green Science and Technology, Shizuoka University, Japan. He also worked as APEC Engineer, Professional Engineer Japan (Biotechnology) in 2008 and also he worked as Doctor of Agronomy, Kyoto University, Japan, 1993.
• 10 years of combined applied research experience in Molecular Plant Biology, Plant Genetics and Biotechnology • Conducted 27 greenhouse trials during Ph.D. and Postdoctoral research • Research experience in different field; (human, insect and plants) worked for hypertension lab and coronary heart disease in human for MS thesis, silkworm ecorace identification during research fellow and plant-pathogen interaction during Ph.D. • Certified hands on experience in isolating novel EST-SSR from the unknown varieties, Real Time PCR experiments and proteomics studies like MALDI-TOF and iTRAQ • Skilled in plant-insect interaction at molecular level, good with proteomics and transcriptomics studies through planning new experiments, sampling, Real Time PCR and statistical analysis • Published 7 peer reviewed journal articles (5 articles as first author and one article as second author) , 6 conference proceedings/abstracts, 3 NCBI gene submission contribution and 2 theses • Extensively used high throughout sequencing technology like microarray and SSH cDNA library screening for identification of candidate genes and Molecular markers such as SSR and EST-SSR for pathogen race identification • Mentored lab assistants and graduate students for their MS Project and thesis
