Abstract
This body of work emphasizes the critical need for global transitions to sustainable healthy diets to address interconnected challenges of human health and environmental sustainability. Studies reveal that plant-rich diets mitigate climate impact and improve health, while reducing food loss and waste is essential for food security. Effective policy, economic incentives, and alternative food networks are crucial for systemic change. The research collectively advocates for holistic transformations in food systems, values, and governance to build resilient, equitable, and environmentally sound dietary patterns for a growing global population.
