Cardiac health of an individual plays a prominent role in the survival & better living of an individual, and thereby occupies utmost importance in the fields of medicine & research. Cardiac disorders are ought to be treated with great care & accuracy as a minimal failure in treating such disorders could be lethal. Besides these treatments, a great attention must be levied on preventing such disorders & this lays the path for many cardiac health recovery programs. These programs contribute to the burning present day cardiac research & could be collectively declared as Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Cardiac rehabilitation aims to develop health improving techniques basing on previous health experiences of patients who have undergone sufferings of cardiac diseases & disorders. Heart disorders and some forms of coronary artery diseases (CAD) and complications including Congestive heart failure (CHF), Angina, and Arrhythmias etc., contribute majorly to the mortality and morbidity in the present industrialized world, and this accounts to around 50% of total global mortality annually. The survivors constitute an additional reservoir of cardiovascular disease morbidity.
Thus cardiac rehabilitation strives to improve the health standards of an individual by designing a clear, deliberate health maintenance strategy which includes exercise, estimation of cardiac event's recurrence (risk stratification), nutrition maintenance, Education on heart-healthy living and counseling to reduce stress, thereby helps an individual return to an active life. Cardiac rehabilitation improves health and quality of life, reduces the need for medicines to treat heart or chest pain and results in decline of the cardiac risk assessments.
