The University of Leeds is a redbrick university spotted in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. Initially named the Yorkshire College of Science and later basically the Yorkshire College, it joined the Leeds School of Medicine and became a piece of the federal Victoria University nearby Owens College (which in the end turned into the University of Manchester) and University College Liverpool (which turned into the University of Liverpool). Leeds has around 33,600 students, the eighth-most noteworthy college in UK. From 2006 to present, the college has reliably been positioned second in the United Kingdom for the number of applicants received, second to the University of Manchester. The University is a part of the prestigious Russell Group of research-intensive universities and the N8 Group for research collaboration.
