Prof. Dr. Andre Durães is specializes in internal medicine, cardiology and intensive care. Doctor of medicine and health since 2013 and Professor of medicine at UFBa, instructor of ACLS and ATLS course/AHA. Works directly with teaching and clinical research. Coordinator of general ICU, emergency department and cardiac transplant service at Ana Nery Hospital/UFBa in Salvador-Brazil. His major areas of interest are advanced heart failure, anticoagulation and cardiac emergencies. Great enthusiast with teaching and technological innovations in cardiology. It is currently reviewer of the following journals: American Journal of Cardiovascular Drugs, Nature, Journal of Clinical Case Reports, Heart, American Journal of Cardiovascular Disease and International Journal of Medicine and Medical Sciences.
