Dr Brian Thomas serves as a Principal Scientist at Zimmer Inc an orthopedics medical device manufacturer He earned his PhD from Clemson University in Clemson SC and his MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington IN He has published 7 journal reviewed papers and over 30 patent applications in the fields of polymers optics biomaterials and medical devices He is a seasoned leader of product research including all aspects of new product development from concept to product release
