Biography

Tariq Qureshi is a manger of Clinical Development Projects at Bayer HealthCare Animal Health. He is a veterinarian and a parasitologist with extensive experience in development of key parasiticides for veterinary use. After completing a degree in Veterinary Medicine from University of Nairobi and a PhD in veterinary parasitology from Texas A&M University he took a position as a research scientist in New Zealand. These work experiences led to an academic position back in the USA. Tariq moved to the veterinary pharmaceutical industry in 2001 and has since worked on the development of several key products used in veterinary medicine. His experience spans from working on discovery projects all the way to post-licensing support. He gained experience in various aspects of pharmaceutical research and development. Tariq enjoys a long hike in the mountains when he can, watching sports and lives in Kansas City, Kansas.

Research Interest

Pharmaceutical product development, parasitology, vector borne diseases, treatment and control of parasites of domestic and wild animals, study of wildlife – livestock interface and one-health issues.
