Biography

He Graduated as Molecular biologist at University of Naples FedericoII-Italy. His title of experimental master's thesis: cDNA isolation, expression analysis, and chromosomal localization of two human zinc finger genes (Genomics, 1990 Feb; 6(2):333-40). He is a Winner of research postdoc fellowships at national and international institutions: University of Naples Federico II-Italy, Karolinska Institute in Stockholm-Sweden, Ruder Boskovic Institute in Zagreb-Croatia. Since 2005 he is a senior researcher at Department of Clinical Medicine and Surgery of University of Naples Federico II-Italy. The most interesting achieved results were: a very rapid, efficient and inexpensive method for plasmid DNA isolation from E. coli (Anal.Biochemistry, 1993) ; a new Molecular Mechanism of Satellite DNA Evolution (Gene, 2006) and the role of satellite DNA in genomic reorganization and regulation of gene expression, receving the international Branimir Jernej Award 2015, as the best elaborated in the field of Molecular Biology (PLoS Genet. 2015) .
