Dr. Rebecca Bruni

Biography

Dr. Rebecca Bruni is a Bioethicist at the Hospital for Sick Children. In that role she provides ethics consultation services and policy support to individuals and committees within the hospital, and teaches health care professionals and students. Previously, she worked as a Bioethicist at the Centre for Clinical Ethics (a shared service of Providence Healthcare, St. Joseph's Health Centre and St. Michael's Hospital). She is an assistant professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine, and a member of the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto. Rebecca has a Bachelor of Arts (psychology) from the University of Manitoba, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and PhD (bioethics) from the University of Toronto. She has completed an ethics internship at Baycrest Centre and a post-doctorate fellowship in Clinical and Organizational Ethics at the University of Toronto Joint Centre for Bioethics. Her main research interests include transplant ethics, priority setting and public engagement.
