Isam Khalaila

Biography

Isam Khalaila is awarded PhD from Ben Gurion University in the 2002. He holds a Master Degree from Ben Gurion University in the 1997. He has extended her valuable service in Ben Gurion University for many years and has been a recipient of many award and grants. Currently, he is working as a Lecturer in Ben Gurion University. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  

Research Interest

Proteins, the main components of metabolic and signaling pathways in cells, are vital for living organisms. Thus, the identification and characterization of proteins involved in particular physiological processes is important in life sciences and biotechnology research. Proteomics, the study of protein structure and function, includes detailed characterization of proteins. Proteins undergo post-translation modifications (PTMs), which are crucial for their regulation, targeting and interaction with other proteins and cellular components.
