Ayodele Samuel was born on July 8, 1962 in Ilawg-Ekiti, Ekiti, Nigeria. Son of David and Bejide Alice Jegede. Bachelor of Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, 1987. Master of Science, Obafemi Awolowo University, 1989. Doctor of Philosophy, University Ibadan, 1995.Dean of Faculty of the Social Sciences; Head of Department of Sociology; Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor; Member of University of Ibadan Ethics Review Board; pioneer Chairperson of the Social Science and Humanity Research Ethics Committee (SSHEC); Member of the Collaborative Research Grant Award of the University of Ibadan Research Foundation.
