His current work is on membrane technology and its applications in water treatment, waste water treatment and extraction of energy using salinity gradients, which is an interdisciplinary work involving physics, chemical engineering, Environmental studies, Renewable energy and Material sciences, with the sole goal towards development in newer technologies for water treatment, waste water treatment and producing sustainable energy for future.
