Doherty is an associate professor of medicine and Section Chief, Allergy and Immunology at UC San Diego, division of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology. His studies have led to high impact publications in the fields of asthma, airway remodeling, aspirin exacerbated respiratory disease (AERD), and group 2 innate lymphoid cell (ILC2) biology.
