She is a Professor in Clinical Psychology, Department of Psychology, School of Social Sciences, University of Crete, Rethimno, Greece.

Research Interest

My main area of interest is adaptation to chronic illness (pediatric cancer), self-regulation, and quality of life of children with cancer and their families. My work also focuses on the psychodynamic factors affecting health and illness, as well as on stress and the pain and the psychic trauma.The focused my research interests:

Psychic trauma and pain (somatic and psychic) and posttraumatic syndrome: psychodynamic approach. Clinical health psychology in children and adolescents with cancer: psychodynamic approach. The use of drawing as a projective technique, the HPT- Hatira's Projective Technique, and the Rorschach Test as diagnostic and therapeutic projective tool.
