Biography
Dr. Lia Matchavariani received her Ph.D. degree form Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in the field of Geogapraphy (Geo-ecology). She is working from 2012-present in Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University her Occupation or position held is Full Professor in Faculty of Exact & Natural Sciences, Dep. of Geography (TSU). Earlier she worked with Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University , as Associated Professor in Faculty of Exact & Natural Sciences, Geography Dep. (TSU). She also worked as Senior Specialist at the Office of Academic Process Management & Scientific Researches in Faculty of Exact & Natural Sciences (TSU). She also was the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Geography (TSU), in Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University for the period of 2003-2005. She also had a Docent, Lecturer position in the Faculty of Geography & Geology (TSU) for the period of 1994-1999. She was the Head of Chair in the Department of Geopolitics,Tbilisi State Institute of Economic Relation (TSIER). She was also a Docent, Teacher, Laboratory worker in the Department: Hydrology & Soil Science, Faculty of Geography-Geology (TSU). She was also a part of 4th International Conference on Climate Change Adaptation (CCA 2015), The First SDSU – Georgia STEM Workshop on Nanotechnology & Environmental Sciences, 15th International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference & Expo SGEM-2015, OMICS Group 4th International Conference on Earth Science & Climate Change, International Conference ICAE-2015 “Applied Ecology: Problems, Innovations”, XII International IAEG Congress “Engineering Geology for Society and Territory” etc.
She was also a part of 4 Electronic Internet-Conferences. She has 7 GRANTS & PROJECTS. She has 160 publications (scientific papers, textbooks for High School, monographs, Scientific-popular books, maps, etc.)
