Biography

Dr. Surajit Chattopadhyay has received his Ph.D. degree from Department of Mathematics, Indian Institute of Engineering Science & Technology, Shibpur, India. He is working as the Associate Professor , Mathematics in Pailan College of Management and Technology, Kolkata, India. He has 1 funding project with the title of “Study of the various aspects of interacting dark energy in modified gravity theories”. He has received many grants/Awards such as: In August 2015, Grant: SERB/DST, Govt of India, Travel Grant to participate in the European Nuclear Physics Conference, 2015 in the Netherlands. In August 2015, Grant: Centre for International Cooperation in Sciencre (CICS), Govt of India Travel Fellowship to participate in the European Nuclear Physics Conference, 2015 in the Netherlands. In August 2015, Grant: European Physical Society Individual Member Travel Grant to participate in the European Nuclear Physics Conference, 2015 in the Netherlands. In Nov 2013, Award: Visiting Associateship of The Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai, India. In Nov 2012, Award: Recipient of full-financial support to attend International Symposium on Solar Terrestrial Physics (ISSTP-2012) at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, India during November 6–9, 2012. In Sep 2012, Grant: A research project entitled "Study of the various aspects of interacting dark energy under modified gravity theories" (SR/FTP/PS-167/2011) funded by Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India) under SERC Fast Track Scheme for Young Scientists. In Aug 2011, Award: Visiting Associateship of Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune, India. In Aug 2010, Award: Recipient of Faculty Award in the form of full-financial support from Local Organizing Committee to attend International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM 2010) at Hyderabad, India, during 19-27 August, 2010. In 1992,Award: National Scholarship in Secondary Examination (Madhyamik).
