Biopolymers are the polymeric biomolecules, produced by living organism. Biopolymers can be classified into three main classes polynucleotides, polypeptides, or polysaccharides. Some other examples or biopolymer include rubber, suberin, melanin and lignin. Though, cellulose is the most common organic compound and biopolymer on the earth.
Biopolymers can be sustainable and are always renewable, as they are made from plant materials which can be grown indefinitely. These plant materials come from agricultural non-food crops. Therefore, the use of biopolymers would create a sustainable industry and hence giving conceit to the research community.
The Journal of Biopolymers Research presents research articles, short communications and critical reviews of the present and future trends in polymer and biopolymer science which includes chemistry, physical chemistry, physics and material science.
